Application guidelines
JMFT aims to consider unsolicited applications from registered UK charities only on a quarterly basis. Grants are typically for one year. Successful grantees may reapply for further support in subsequent years. Please note that grantmaking to charities operating outside the UK has been suspended for the foreseeable future, pending a strategic review.
An application template has been prepared in PDF or Word which can be downloaded to your device. Use of the template will ensure that your application can be processed without delay. This should be submitted via email with a budget for your project and your organisation’s most recent financial accounts.
Due to the modest size of grant available, the Trust usually supports specific programmes or projects with measurable objectives, rather than providing general operating support. JMFT does not generally support capital projects. The Trustees have absolute discretion over the awarding of grants.
Feedback reports on the effective use of grants are encouraged, especially if further grants are sought.
The Trustees will only respond to requests that fall within the objects of the Trust. If an application has been refused once, no response will be made to identical or similar applications.
